WOMEN’S HEALTH COACH
Newtown, Connecticut
Root-Cause, Relational Care for Women Seeking Real, Lasting Change
If you are living with unresolved symptoms, hormonal imbalance, cycle irregularities, fertility concerns, or a quiet sense that something in your body is not working as it should, you are not alone—and you are not broken.
Hi, I’m Jennie Edgar, a certified women’s health coach offering root-cause, relational care for women in Newton, Connecticut and beyond. My work centers on understanding the full ecosystem of a woman’s life and physiology, and addressing the upstream factors that shape reproductive, hormonal, and overall health.
I practice through a slower, more thoughtful model of care—one that prioritizes depth, continuity, and meaningful change over time rather than short-term protocols or symptom management.
For over a decade, I have supported women through reproductive and lifestyle wellness, with training as a clinical herbalist, doula, and childbirth educator, alongside advanced academic training in women’s health. I hold a master’s degree from Harvard University and am completing advanced practice training at Yale University as a women’s health nurse practitioner and midwife candidate.
I live in the greater Newton area and coach women locally in Fairfield County and virtually on reproductive, lifestyle, and mindset topics.

A DIFFERENT MODEL OF WOMEN’S CARE
Many women arrive in my practice after years of being told their labs are “normal,” their symptoms are “stress,” or that nothing is technically wrong—despite feeling unwell in their bodies.
Conventional care is often fragmented and wellness culture is often overwhelming. Between the two, women are left with unanswered questions and a growing sense of frustration.
My approach is built around a different premise: Symptoms are not random, your body is not malfunctioning, and most dysfunction reflects adaptation to long-standing stressors, depletion, and imbalance.
As a women’s health coach, I work to identify and address those stressors at their roots—so the body can begin to restore its own capacity for balance, regulation, and repair.
Who I Work With
I support women who are navigating:
Hormonal imbalance and cycle irregularities
Fertility and fertility challenges
PCOS, endometriosis, or suspected reproductive dysfunction
Fatigue, brain fog, or low resilience
Digestive concerns and gut imbalance
Blood sugar instability
Mood changes, anxiety, or low stress tolerance
A general sense that something is “off,” even without a clear diagnosis
Many of the women I work with are thoughtful, perceptive, and deeply attuned to their bodies. They may have tried multiple practitioners, protocols, or supplements with little lasting relief.
How I Work
My work is grounded in:
Root-cause assessment
Functional and holistic nutrition
Lifestyle and behavioral change
Nervous system–informed care
Traditional herbal medicine
Long-horizon, relational coaching
Together, we look at the ecosystem of your life—nutrition, sleep, stress, relationships, environment, history, and physiology—and explore how these elements interact to shape your health.

Kind Words
“After hitting a wall with my doctors and all the resources I explored, I tried coaching as a last resort because I wanted to empower myself to take my health into my own hands. I didn’t realize I would find such a kind and compassionate friend who helped me find health in my life by making big and subtle changes, in ways I never thought possible. It sounds cheesy but if you’ve been putting off your health because you’re overwhelmed you need to work with Jennie! I’m so glad I did.” —Sara
“I am so grateful to have met Jennie and worked with her for a few months. Her support and guidance have truly been a beacon of light during a challenging time for me. Going through fertility issues can feel isolating and lonely, but her empathy, expertise and encouragement have made such an impact on me. Jennie taught me to nourish myself in ways I hadn't even considered, and I continue to apply her knowledge daily. My nervous system feels more regulated, and I am beginning to surrender and I feel hopeful about my life and bringing my baby into the world.” —Scarlett
“When I wanted to have a baby in my late thirties I knew I needed to start taking care of myself because I had never really prioritized my health. Working with Jennie on my sobriety was the first step, and it took 18 months but I couldn’t have done it without her encouragement and accountability. Not only that but she taught me to cook, shop for health groceries and organize my pantry — from Zoom! I still send her photos of my meals because I’M PROUD OF MYSELF and I owe it, in part, to her as my coach. Thank you!” —Mia
“There are so many wellness influencers out there I was skeptical about working with a health coach, but I’m here to say that Jennie is the real deal. She knows the science and she’s grounded, but she also trusts in intuition and experience. I loved that I could trust her, but also be vulnerable with where I was coming from and what mattered to me.” —Brit
“I’ve been working with Jennie since 2023 and I could totally stop coaching and maintain my weight and exercise habits on my own, but she’s just so nice to talk to that I don’t plan on giving up this inspirational and motivational hour in my month anytime soon!” —Sarah
“When I first came to Jennie I had debilitating digestive issues and really thought that I would never live a normal life. Not only did she support and listen to me, but she combed through every test and trial I went through. We also did an elimination diet, which was hard but being able to text and send voice notes with a coach really got me through it. It was a crazy time, but I think I found so much peace working with Jennie. She’s really a one-of-a-kind listener. After almost a year, my symptoms are completely gone. I have a “strict” regimen I need to follow because I’ve identified all my triggers and a lot of them are my favorite things like gluten and alcohol and sugar! I would probably still be bloated and in pain without Jennie because I would not know where to start and how to live with all my modifications I need to have being a busy working mom. I am so so grateful I have my life back.” —Eleanor
